I wanted to thank you for getting me the new X4 probe last year. Used it just towards the end of the season and had some interference problems. I did the 4.0 update to my Lowrance HDS 10 early this year. I can run the Lowrance on either 200 or 83khz and have not had any problems with the probe readings on my Fish Hawk display. It's worked flawless. I did move the transducer a couple of inches. We've had the best year ever fishing for salmon and trout on lake Michigan. It's great not having to listen to second hand info for what depth to run my down riggers. I stuck to the temps I know work, and we got our 2 person limits almost every time out. Thanks again for your help. |

I wanted to thank you again for the consideration you provided when sending me the X4 unit last summer. The unit preformed flawlessly and exceeded my expectations. This unit finds minor changes in temperature that you know you can count on. I have always been a temperature fanatic when fishing and the features built into the X4 allow me to put fish in the box when others are still guessing. The readouts are clear, accurate and I no longer need to be concerned about moisture in the sending unit/probe. I used the same set of AA batteries from mid-season to year end. Thank you for providing the finest temperature unit avalable, nothing else on the market is even a close second! |

Through my years as a professional angler there isn't another piece of equipment that has helped us succeed more then speed and temp at the ball. It was evident at the 2011 pro am salmon and trout tournament where we won because we kept an accurate constant speed deeper then 100 ft. Its no secret, when it comes to Great Lakes Fishing, if your lures are not in the ZONE you are not catching. The Fish Hawk TD is one of the most important tools on my boat for all my delivery systems. Just having the confidence of knowing where those lures are running allows me to move my lures up and down the water column with my dipsy and lead programs to active fish. If I am fishing on a buddies boat and he doesn't have a probe for his riggers I simply carry the TD with me and put it down on his rigger weight and get a quick profile of the temps in the water column every 5 feet. Saves a lot of time guessing where the preferred temps are! The fact it's sealed and has a lithium battery makes it bullet proof. Easy to use and read numbers. I have been fishing the Great Lakes for 43 years and I started using Fish Hawk products in the 70's. They allow me to find water temperature and trolling speed at all depths which are the most important aspects of GL fishing. Now the new TD probe lets me find temperatures at 5 foot intervals. Every trip the first thing I do is run my TD down on my downrigger and get temperatures from top to bottom. I then know where to set my downriggers and my X4 probe. I also put my TD on my lead and copper lines to let me know what depth to run them. With the X4 and TD in use I have my lures in the prime water for both temperature and trolling speed. I feel that the new TD has increased my fish catching power! My children (3) are all pro fisher-people and rely on Fish Hawk in their businesses; they are sold on the product.
